This mini quilt is a collaboration between the artist and her mother, Mildred Davis. It embodies the goal of Rest Stops: to facilitate a patchwork of green space in areas devastated by the Eaton Fire in Altadena. Using dyes derived from native and locally foraged plant materials, like toyon leaves and oak galls, the edition weaves together cultural tradition and ecological connection. Proceeds go toward Rest Stops, with a portion supporting our exhibition partner Crenshaw Dairy Mart.
