Accordion Press

a note from kenturah:

while accordion press has long been in development, it made its debut in the aftermath of the los angeles fires in january 2025. my home, along with my parents’ home, were lost in the eaton fire. this experience prompted me to create altadena, our first official release in support of artists affected by the disaster.

from our beginnings with altadena, accordion press now features photographic works on paper and word, our debut edition of handmade incense.

as we continue to grow, our focus remains in designing objects that bridge intention and practicality with ephemeral encounters. from incense and artist books to textiles and vessels, each series of objects aims to express reverence for our sensory experiences. we embrace ancient technologies like weaving, writing, pottery, and woodworking. each process is meant to demonstrate how meaningful our tactile experiences are. they try to create a bridge between the visible and the invisible.
